In 2006, Environment Michigan Research & Policy Center became the new home of Public Interest Research Group in Michigan (PIRGIM) Education Fund's environmental work, focusing exclusively on protecting Michigan's air, water and open spaces.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, our professional staff combines independent research, practical ideas and effective educational campaigns to overcome the opposition of special interests and win real results for Michigan's environment.
Environment Michigan Research & Policy Center has been a leader on key environmental issues in Michigan, including protecting the Great Lakes and preventing toxic mercury pollution.
