Ask Gov. Granholm to urge the DEQ to deny Kennecott's permit

Kennecott Minerals Company wants to open a hazardous sulfide mine in a beautiful, ecologically sensitive area of the Upper Peninsula, directly beneath a premiere trout stream. The Department of Environmental Quality is currently deciding whether to grant Kennecott’s permit application, which contains inadequate assurances that their operations will not harm the area’s pristine air, water, and land.

Please take a moment to ask Gov. Granholm to urge the DEQ to deny Kennecott’s permit. Then ask your family and friends to help by forwarding this e-mail to them.
